Too Many Doughnuts? Never. Drop by Dough Arrives in the City

Is there ever such a thing as too many doughnuts? Drop by Dough doesn’t think so — and neither do we. Bangkok’s viral café sensation has finally arrived in Hong Kong, bringing with it the city’s next sweet obsession: doughnuts that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

Since opening in Bangkok in 2019, Drop by Dough has built a cult following for its light, buttery doughnuts and minimalist café aesthetic. The brand’s first overseas outpost lands in Hong Kong with the same signature charm all soft edges, warm tones, and that unmistakable aroma of fresh dough and real butter. What sets these doughnuts apart isn’t just the flavour but the craftsmanship. Each one is fried with 100% pure rice bran oil for a cleaner, lighter bite and made using natural butter, no preservatives, no trans fats, and freshly prepared daily. It’s comfort food made with precision and care, and you can taste it in every soft, airy mouthful.

The lineup includes crowd favourites like Classic Vanilla, Salted Sugar Cinnamon, Nutella & Hazelnut, and Raspberry Rose, alongside inventive creations like Bacon & Cheddar Cheese, Lemon Meringue, and Kyoto Matcha & Red Bean. Inspired by Thai ingredients, flavours such as Young Coconut & Almond and Mango Kati add a tropical touch, while the Hong Kong-exclusive Pistachio doughnut makes its debut here; rich, nutty, and utterly addictive.

To celebrate Halloween, Drop by Dough is also rolling out a limited series from 20–31 October, featuring four themed treats made fresh daily: the Raspberry Ghost, Pumpkin Face, Matcha Monster, and Chocolate Mint Mummy (HKD 48 each). Playful, festive, and perfectly Instagrammable — these are the kind of sweets that make you smile before you even take a bite.

Drop by Dough’s arrival isn’t just another dessert launch, it’s a mood. A reminder that indulgence can be done thoughtfully, that detail matters, and that the best desserts are still made with a bit of heart and a lot of butter. So, whether you’re a long-time fan from Bangkok or a newcomer in search of the perfect treat, this is your sign to stop by, grab a coffee, and let happiness come glazed and golden-brown.
