AIA Carnival returns to Central Harbourfront from December 22, 2025 to March 1, 2026, bringing with it the familiar buzz of rides, games, and winter festivities but for many, the real highlight is the food. Each year, the carnival doubles as a roaming food festival, spotlighting some of Hong Kong’s most loved eateries alongside carnival-only crowd-pleasers.

What makes eating at AIA Carnival special is the mix: proper restaurants bringing their signatures outdoors, plus concepts you can only try during the event. Wander, snack, share, repeat; and if something really hits, you’ll know exactly where to find it once the carnival packs up.

El Macho

Bright, bold, and bursting with flavour, El Macho brings its signature Mexican energy to the carnival. Expect tacos packed with spiced beef, hearty burritos, and veggie-loaded quesadillas that are perfect for sharing between rides. It’s fast, fiery, and exactly what you want when the fiesta mood hits.

If the fiesta doesn’t end at the harbour, El Macho’s full menu and lively atmosphere awaits at 1 Third Street, Sai Ying Pun

Flying Cock

Flying Cock brings big, bold comfort flavours to the carnival lineup, led by their juicy slow-roasted rotisserie chicken that’s all about crisp skin and tender meat. The menu leans global and playful, with yakitori-style skewers, Korean-inspired bites, and crowd-pleasing plates that are easy to share while you roam the Harbourfront. Flying Cock balances quality with fun, making it a great stop whether you’re grabbing a quick bite between rides or settling in for something more satisfying.

If you’re keen to visit beyond the carnival buzz, you can also find them at 70 High Street, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong

Sonny’s Pizza

A go-to for indulgent slices, Sonny’s delivers comfort food with personality. From the rich Steak n’ Cheese topped with béchamel and sliced steak to the nostalgic Kowloon Kid with lap cheong and bacon, these pizzas are made for casual, no-rules eating by the harbour.

One slice usually turns into two, and if you’re still thinking about it the next day, Sonny’s Central shop (G/F, 1B Elgin Street, Central) is where the obsession continues.

Puccia

Wood-fired and unapologetically bold, Puccia brings its signature Italian flatbreads to the carnival. Stuffed with fillings like Parma ham and parmesan, smoked salmon and avocado, porchetta with roasted potatoes, or octopus with ’nduja, these are messy, satisfying, and worth slowing down for.

Rustic, indulgent, and deeply satisfying, Puccia is the kind of stall you stumble upon once then actively seek out again and if you are find them at Soho House Hong Kong from January 1st to 30th.

Barkada

Barkada is all about togetherness, serving Filipino flavours that feel both familiar and exciting. Whether you’re new to Filipino food or already a fan, their dishes are made for sharing, snacking, and lingering with friends between games.

For a deeper dive into the flavours and atmosphere, Barkada’s Soho space delivers the full experience beyond the fairground at G/F, 25 Elgin Street, Soho, Central.

La Crêperie

A little taste of Brittany by the harbour. La Crêperie serves classic sweet crêpes and savoury galettes, alongside French seafood favourites like oysters, mussels, and scallops. Traditional at heart, with just enough flair to keep things interesting.

It’s an ideal stop when you want to slow things down, their restaurant is at 1/F, 100 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai and is worth lingering over.

Bapman

If you’ve been to AIA Carnival before, chances are you’ve heard people talking about Bapman. Famous for its French fries–coated corn dogs, this stall has earned cult status for a reason. Crunchy on the outside, indulgent on the inside, and impossible to eat neatly; this is carnival food in its purest form.

It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of bite, and one that is only exclusive to AIA Carnival.

Iconic H Special Hotdog Shop

Iconic H elevates the humble hot dog into something playful and crave-worthy. Expect gourmet sausages topped with creative combinations, from truffle mayo fries to Hong Kong-inspired twists that feel both familiar and fun. It’s casual, indulgent, and perfect for eating on the move while navigating the carnival crowds.

It’s casual, fun, and perfect for eating on the move an all exclusive to AIA Carnival.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite between rides or planning a full food crawl along the harbour, AIA Carnival makes it easy to eat well while you wander. Come for the games, stay for the food — and leave with a few new restaurant favourites to add to your regular rotation long after the carnival wraps up.
